Digitalizácia v Štátnej vedeckej knižnici v Košiciach a jej prínos pre knižnično-informačné služby

Digitalizácia knižničných fondov v ŠVK v Košiciach je zameraná predovšetkýmna ochranu knižničných fondov so zreteľom na najviac ohrozené staré tlače a noviny. Okrem toho cieľom digitalizácie je komfortnejšie a rýchlejšie sprístupňovanie dokumentov a informácií širokej verejnosti. Používatelia takto získajú ľahší prístup aj k obsahu, ktorý sa nachádza na špeciálnych, doposiaľ menej využívaných nosičoch, ako sú gramoplatne, mikrofilmy a mikrofiše.
