Alternatívne bibliometrické indikátory na Slovensku: čo odhalil výskum

Článok prináša sumarizáciu výsledkov výskumu, ktorý bol realizovaný ako súčasť dizertačnej práce autorky v rámci doktorandského štúdia na Katedre knižničnej a informačnej vedy UK v Bratislave. Cieľom uvedeného výskumu bolo zmapovať interpretáciu možného významu vybraných alternatívnych indikátorov a ich akceptovanie v rámci slovenskej akademickej obce. Vybraní respondenti sa výskumu zúčastnili, či už prostredníctvomn osobných rozhovorov, alebo formou elektronického dotazníka. V príspevku sú predstavené konkrétne možné významy vybraných alternatívnych ukazovateľov z pohľadu vedcov, pričom sú stručne identifikované aj okolnosti vplývajúce na interpretáciu.

Samotný výskum poukázal na vzťah respondentov voči konvenčnému hodnoteniu vedy, ktoré je realizované prostredníctvom tradičných bibliometrických indikátorov a postoj voči novým, potenciálnym indikátorom a možnému doplnkovému spôsobu hodnotenia vedy. Záver sumarizuje možné využitie vybraných indikátorov v akademickom prostredí.

Alternative bibliometric indicators in Slovakia: what the research revealed

The article summarizes the results of research, which was realized as a part of the author‘s dissertation within the doctoral study at the Department of Library and Information Science at Comenius University in Bratislava. The aim of this research was to map the interpretation of the possible significance of selected alternative indicators and their acceptance within the Slovak academic community. Selected respondents participated in the research through personal interviews or through an (anonymous) electronic questionnaire. The paper presents the specific possible meanings of selected alternative indicators from the point of view of scientists, while briefly identifying the circumstances affecting the interpretation. The research pointed out the relationship of respondents to the conventional evaluation of science, which is carried out through traditional bibliometric indicators. Then describes the attitude towards new, potential indicators and a possible complementary way of evaluating science. The conclusion summarizes the eventual use of selected alternative indicators in the academic environment.
