Pravidlá RDA sú výsledkom snahy o zmenu tvorby bibliografických katalógov a zavedenie nových trendov v sprístupňovaní informácií v dynamicky sa meniacom prostredí moderných komunikačných techník a technológií, ktoré prinášajú nové formy publikovania a nové typy zdrojov v rôznych formátoch a na rôznych nosičoch. Rapídne sa meniace komunikačné techniky a technológie výrazne ovplyvňujú profil používateľov a ich požiadavky na katalógy a služby knižníc.

Persons related to Works, Expressions, Manifestations and Items in rDA

The article deals with the creators and contributors in the context of RDA (Resource Description & Access) standard for cataloging and MARC 21 format for bibliographic data. After an introduction to RDA and its basic terminology, the author gives a brief overview of some changes from AACR2 to RDA concerning creators and contributors and illustrates these changes on examples. In the conclusion activities of the National Bibliography Department of Slovak National Library concerning RDA rules are mentioned.
