Cieľom príspevku je predstaviť základné stimuly, ktoré predchádzali vybudovaniu systému CAIR a následná kooperácia národných registrov s informačnými systémami pamäťových a fondových inštitúcií. Našim zámerom je priblížiť Slovakianu nielen ako portál kultúrneho dedičstva Slovenska, ale ako platformu a portál pre prezentáciu a výmenu informácií o kultúrnom dedičstve. Súčasťou Slovakiany je aj vytvorenie Centra pre autorské práva,
ktorého úlohy a postavenie bude analyzované v závere príspevku.

Is the portal Slovakiana only portal of cultural heritage Main aim of this paper is to introduce the fundamental incentives which led to the establishment of the CAIR system and the subsequent cooperation of the national registries with the information systems of cultural institutions. Our intention is to define Slovakiana not only as a portal of cultural heritage of Slovakia, but as a platform and portal for the presentation and exchange of information on cultural heritage. Part of Slovakiana is the creation of the Centre for copyright which tasks and position will be analysed at the end of this paper
